2 Hour Private Tour
This private (only your group up to 9 passengers) includes a two hour cruise aboard a 2020 Manitou triton around Lake James & Snow Lake. No strangers, just your crew and one of Indiana’s most beautiful lakes! Private tours can be booked at 10AM, 1PM or 4PM. (For Private Sunset Tours see below).

2 Hour Shared Tour
Not traveling with a full group? Join a shared tour – you’ll be with fellow lake lovers, and the experience is just as personal. Shared tours run at 10AM & 1PM and are capped at 9 passengers. Note: A minimum of 4 paid passengers are required before reservations are confirmed. Your card will not be charged until the minimum is met.
Shared Tour Pricing
$65/person
Join a shared tour for just $65 per person. Tours depart at 10AM and 1PM with a minimum of 4 passengers to confirm the departure. We’ll notify you by 2 hours before your tour if the minimum hasn’t been met or try to pair you with another spot.
2 Hour Private Sunset Tour
The sunset tour is our most popular tour that we offer. Departing at 7PM, each sunset tour is private and up to 9 passengers. This one sells out, so book a few days in advance!

Captain Cook has gathered a wealth of information on Lake James, Snow Lake, and Jimmerson Lake. He grew up on the lake, so in addition to history he also knows current facts and points of interest. He kept 6 retired teachers captivated with his stories, and we kept him busy with questions that he never tired of answering! Reservations
Bookings are tentative until you receive email confirmation. Reserve at least 1 hour in advance. If booking a SHARED tour for less than 4 paid passengers… your card will NOT be processed until we hit the required minimum of 4 paid passengers. If we don’t meet the required minimum, we will contact you in advance to try to reschedule you with another tour if possible, or you will be given the option to make the tour private if you desire.
Pick Up & Drop Off
Private tours depart from Potawatomi Inn Beach Docks, The 6 on James (4 Corners), or a custom location (Airbnb/VRBO – arrange with Captain in advance). Shared Tours depart from the Potawatomi Inn Beach Docks Only.
Payment
All major credit cards accepted.
Cancellation Policy
Private Tours: More than 72 hours out – reschedule or refund minus a 6% processing fee. Less than 72 hours – we’ll try to reschedule, if we can’t, the full tour prices applies.
Shared Tours: we will not process your card until we reach the required minimum of 4 paid passengers & no refunds once your card is processed for the shared tour and the minimum is met.
Late Arrival Policy
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early for tours (especially for shared tours).
Weather Policy
We monitor conditions closely. If we need to cancel, we’ll try to reschedule, but if not possible, a refund minus 6% processing fee will be refunded.
On Board
BYOB – Aluminum cans or plastic only. No glass.
No food, no smoking, no tobacco.
All passengers must remain seated while underway.
Liability Waiver is required for all passengers (guardian signature required for under 18) prior to tour.
Damage or excessive cleaning will be charged to the passenger ($100 cleaning fee).
We want everyone to have a great time on the tour. If behavior becomes a safety concern the Captain reserves the right to end the tour early – without refunds.
If traveling with younger children, please book a private tour to avoid possible disruption of the experience for others.
